Half clamp collar - description
The half-clamp collar is a collar put on over the head. It is connected with steel D-rings.
The mechanism of operation of the half-clamp collar is based on the fact that when putting it on, it passes freely through the head, while after attaching the leash and pulling, the collar clamps to a predetermined moment making it impossible to remove the head from the collar. The half-clamp collar is dedicated to dogs with a neck wider than the circumference of the head - it works well as a collar for a bull terrier or a greyhound. Therefore, in order to choose the right size of the half-clamp, the head circumference should be taken into account. The range of collar adjustment given on the website corresponds to collar tightened, the circumference of the head should fit within it.
Most often chosen for long-haired dogs (NP. border collie, Samoyed and/ or large breed dogs (NP. r, doberman), whose caregivers avoid plastic clasps.
It comes in several sizes and widths. When choosing the width of the collar, keep in mind that the wider the tape, the larger the metal elements. Who is the half-clamp collar useful for?
Half-clamp collar has been designed for dogs that have a wider neck than the head and extend their head from traditional buckle-fastened collars.

I am very happy with my purchase. I wanted the collar to lie freely around the dog's neck, because my female (Miniature Schnauzer) often walks without a leash. Thanks to the "half-clamp", she has a lot of freedom when running on her own, and while walking on a leash, I can be sure that the collar will not go through her head when our plans suddenly diverge;). The large adjustment range allowed me to set the length so that even the tightened collar does not cause choking on the dog. The pattern is insane, it looks beautiful on black hair. It can be washed well, the materials are durable and dry quickly. The only feature that I pay attention to owners of small dogs is quite stiff tape - especially in places of double stitching. Dogs that do not strain the materials (e.g. they do not pull on a leash, like my bitch) may have to deal with an untreated collar for a long time. It seems to me that it does not really matter, especially when the collar is lying freely on the dog.

I am very happy with the collar, but also with the harness and leash I bought. This is my third purchase at Warsaw Dog, and I will also come back here for more dog accessories. The tapes have beautiful colors, they are soft, delicate and durable at the same time. Even after use in forests, fields, rivers and lakes, they are in top condition. They are not afraid of washing in the washing machine. And what is very important to me, the mud and silt do not penetrate into the compact structure of the belt and after a cursory rinsing with water most of the dirt flows off. They dry quickly (washed in the morning after a walk, they dry quietly until the afternoon). You can dress up in the city and chase through the forests. 10/10 for me
