How to measure your dog: Half choke collar

Half-clamp collar

A type of collar dedicated to the dogs they have a larger neck than a head, or just mastered the secret ways of getting free from the standard buckle collar. The half-clamp collar, commonly called the half-clamp, makes it impossible to remove the head through reduction in circumference collar when pulled to a preset moment. The clamping element is a few additional cm of tape, which are an extension of the collar - when the leash is pulled, the circumference is reduced up to a fixed moment.

Measure the dog at the base of the head, at its widest point. The collar is designed to allow it to pass freely over the head and prevent it from sliding off. When pulling the attached leash, the collar reduces its circumference to the set size. Half-clamp collars are used in dogs with a neck wider than the head, which allows them to break free from ordinary collars.

The resting collar should lie loosely around the neck.

The half-clamp collar is not intended to correct behavior, it is to ensure the dog's safety.
